Care Needs
Hello and Welcome to the
Intensive Care Unit where CPR (Caring, Professionalism and
Respect) is our goal. Our purpose is assist patients and
their families navigate through the critical care
experience. Recent surveys conducted by Medicare indicate
that our Unit has higher patient satisfaction than other
area hospitals and is higher than the State and National
averages for patient satisfaction. Here is some
information about our Unit:
Staff:
Our department is staffed
with qualified nursing personnel, who are trained in
critical care management.
We work closely with a
variety of physician speacialists such as: pulmonologist,
cardiologist, infectious disease, nephrologists,
gastroenterologist, endocrinologist, internal medicine and
general surgeons to name a few.
Environment
The Intensive Care Unit
(ICU) has been completely renovated with 8 critical care
beds. This includes the addition of a new Cardiac
Monitoring System that allows continuous monitoring from
the moment the patient enters the Emergency Department and
throughout their stay in the ICU.
In each of the 8 new rooms
there is lighting, flooring and finishes that create a
more healing environment. This new configuration enhances
the nurse's ability to continuously observe patients and
maintain a cohesive, trusting relationship among nurses,
patients, family members and our visitors.
Spiritual Services
Spiritual services are
available around the clock to meet your emotional as well
as spiritual needs.
Visiting Hours
Our visiting hours are from
10am to 8pm. Visitors are allowed every two hours on the
even hour.
