Hello and Welcome to the Medical Surgical, Telemetry Unit where CPR (Caring, Professionalism and Respect) is our goal. Our purpose is to help you to navigate your acute care needs and promote a positive experience during your stay with us. Recent surveys conducted by Medicare indicate that our Unit has higher patient satisfaction than other area hospitals and is higher than the State and National averages for patient satisfaction. Here is some information about our Unit:

Staff:

Our department is staffed with qualified nursing personnel who are trained in acute care management.

The staff are equipped with mobile phones and each patient has the extension number of their nurses mobile phone so that your needs are met in a timely manner.

We work closely with a variety of physician specialists such as: pulmonologist, cardiologist, infectious disease, nephrologists, gastroenterologist, endocrinologist, internal medicine and general surgeons to name a few

Environment

The med/surg/tele unit is a 52 bed unit that provides a variety of services:

• Telemetry monitoring via an entirely new monitoring system: We are able to monitor our patients throughout our facility as they are transported for various test or procedures
• Acute dialysis services: Davita Dialysis personnel has a specially equipped room were treatment may be provided during the acute phase of therapy
• New Vision Program: The New Vision program is a 3 day medical stabilization program prior to rehabilitation services.
• The unit has a newly renovated waiting area including a vending area where snacks and beverages are available.
• Patient rooms have been upgraded to provide you with as much a comfortable environment.
• Spiritual services are available around the clock to meet your emotional as well as spiritual needs.

Visiting Hours:
