In August, Touchette Regional Hospital announced a new service provided by the radiology department. As a way to better serve patients, they are now performing interventional radiology procedures utilizing a new CT fluoroscopy system.

The new system will be used for biopsies and drainages and provides the Radiologist with pin point accurate access by means of real-time visualization of the anatomy to be biopsied. This advanced technology means a much less invasive procedure and less costly then traditional surgery.
